Commercial EV Charger Installation in Leicester & the East Midlands

Commercial EV charger installation is a different job from a home wallbox: staff and fleet vehicles queue for the same sockets, the building's supply has a day job, and the invoice answers to a budget holder. We design workplace, fleet and customer charging across Leicester, Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands that works within your site's real electrical capacity — and we handle the Workplace Charging Scheme paperwork that takes up to £500 per socket off the cost.

One firm from survey to commissioning: OZEV-approved installation, DNO applications, load management and aftercare through a single point of contact.

Who We Install For

Workplaces

Staff charging schemes using the Workplace Charging Scheme where eligible — up to £500 per socket since April 2026, across up to 40 sockets. We handle the OZEV voucher process end to end.

Fleets & depots

Multi-unit installs with dynamic load management, so overnight fleet charging shares the supply intelligently instead of tripping it. Scheduling around shift patterns is part of the design, not an afterthought.

Landlords & parking

Rental properties and communal parking, supported by the landlord chargepoint grant — up to £500 per socket across up to 200 sockets — plus customer-facing bays for hospitality and retail sites.

Load Management: More Chargers From the Supply You Already Have

The first question on every commercial job is not "which charger?" but "what can the supply take?" Most sites have less headroom than they think at full rate — and more than they think with management. Dynamic load balancing measures the building's live demand and shares the remaining capacity across the charge points, throttling gracefully at peak and opening up overnight. The result: a site that could run two or three unmanaged chargers can often run six or more managed ones without a supply upgrade.

Where the design does need more capacity, we prepare and submit the G99 application to the network operator — anything above 3.68kW per phase involves the DNO, and that process is ours to run, not yours.

Pair It With Commercial Solar

A roof full of panels changes the economics of workplace charging: daytime staff charging runs substantially on your own generation instead of imported power. We design commercial solar & battery and EV charging as one system where the roof allows — one survey, one G99 conversation with the DNO, one point of accountability. Our peak-shaving guide covers how batteries flatten the demand spikes that fleet charging creates.

How a Commercial EV Project Runs

  • Site survey — supply capacity, distribution board, cable routes and groundworks assessed in person.
  • Itemised proposal — hardware, cabling, groundworks, DNO work and commissioning, each priced. Grant value shown against eligible sockets.
  • OZEV & DNO paperwork — WCS or landlord-grant vouchers processed; G99 application submitted where the design needs it.
  • Installation — scheduled around your operations, weekends included.
  • Commissioning & handover — every unit tested, back-office/app configured, and a demonstration before we leave.

Home chargers are a different page: see EV charger installation for domestic Zappi, Ohme and Hypervolt installs, or our EV charger grants guide for what funding exists in 2026.

Commercial EV Charging FAQs

It depends on the number of charge points, your existing electrical supply, and the groundworks between the distribution board and the parking bays — which is why we quote from a site survey rather than a rate card. Every quote is itemised (hardware, cabling, groundworks, DNO work, commissioning), and the Workplace Charging Scheme takes up to £500 per socket off the bill for eligible businesses. There are no call-out surprises: the figure we quote is the figure you pay.

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is the OZEV grant for businesses, charities and public-sector organisations installing chargers for staff or fleet use. Since 1 April 2026 it is worth up to £500 per socket (75% of costs, whichever is lower), across a maximum of 40 sockets, and it currently runs to 31 March 2027. You need dedicated off-street parking and the chargers must be installed by an OZEV-approved installer — which we are. We handle the voucher paperwork as part of the job.

Usually more than the incoming supply first suggests. Dynamic load management shares the available capacity across every charge point and throttles charging around the building’s own demand, so a site that could only run two or three chargers at full rate can often run six or more managed ones. Where the design genuinely needs more capacity, we prepare the G99 application to the network operator — any connection above 3.68kW per phase needs DNO involvement, and we run that process for you.

Yes. The EV chargepoint grant for residential landlords is worth up to £500 per socket (up to 200 sockets) since 1 April 2026, and there is a separate £500 grant for tenants and flat owners installing at home. We install single chargers at rental properties and multi-unit setups for blocks and communal parking, and we sort the OZEV paperwork in both cases.
