OZEV EV Charger
Grant Guide 2025
The government's £350 EV charger grant — who qualifies, which chargers are eligible, and how Energy Concerns handles the application for you.
What Is the OZEV EV Charger Grant?
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) administers two main EV charger grant schemes for domestic properties in 2025: the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) for houses and the EV Chargepoint Grant for flats and rental properties. Together, they cover the majority of residential EV charger installations.
Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)
Up to £350
Who qualifies: Homeowners in houses
Must own or have ordered an eligible EV or PHEV. Grant covers 75% of installed cost up to £350 maximum.
EV Chargepoint Grant for Flats
Up to £350
Who qualifies: Flat owners and renters
For flats and rental properties. Landlords can claim multiple grants for multi-unit properties. Same £350 cap per charger.
EVHS Eligibility Checklist
You own or have a lease on an eligible EV or plug-in hybrid vehicle
The vehicle must be on the OZEV approved vehicle list. Most current EVs and PHEVs qualify.
Your property has off-street parking
The charger must be installed at a dedicated parking space at your home. On-street parking does not qualify.
You have not previously claimed an EVHS grant at this address
One grant per domestic property applies under the current scheme rules.

Grant deducted from your invoice
The £350 grant is applied directly as a reduction on your installation invoice. No waiting for a rebate.
Combining EV Charger with Solar Panels
A Hypervolt or Zappi EV charger combined with solar panels and battery storage creates a complete home energy system: solar panels generate electricity, batteries store it, and the smart charger uses the stored solar energy to charge your car overnight or during the day. The result is EV charging costs close to zero.
Combined install saving: Customers installing solar panels, battery storage, and an EV charger together benefit from a single scaffolding visit, a single MCS certificate, and combined system design. Energy Concerns offers bundled pricing for complete home energy installations — ask about combined installation discounts when you book.
